Adam Haayer took a few moments from his busy day working as part of the Rollx Vans sales team to answer some questions about himself. Adam has a degree in Technology Education from the University of Minnesota. He played football throughout college and was planning to be a teacher until his professional football career took off. He was a sixth round draft pick into the NFL and played professionally for six years.
Adam has been with the Rollx Vans team since 2009, enjoys talking with his customers and says that he truly has a lot of laughs during his days in the office. Here’s what else he had to say:
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I have two boys. So, my wife and I spend most of our time going to their sporting events. We enjoy camping, biking, hunting and ice fishing in the winter. But most warm summer nights you will find us hanging out in our back yard around the pool.
What books have you read recently and would recommend? Why?
I have been reading the “Lord of the Rings” books. I usually don’t read something after I have seen the movies but I was really interested in seeing the difference between the book and the movie. It has been a great read.
What famous person do people say you look like?
My whole family thinks I look like Metro Man from the movie “Mega Mind.”
What is your favorite part about your job at Rollx Vans?
I love working with my customers. I have had so many great experiences but I truly enjoy giving people their mobility and freedom to get out of the house an transport themselves. It is a very rewarding job.
What does your work day usually look like?
My work day starts with a cup of coffee. Then, talking with the production manager, install technicians and paint department manager to check on the progress of my sold vans. Then from there it is a lot of phone calls and emails reaching out to new and existing customers.
If you weren’t in sales, what would you be doing?
I would probably be teaching high school and coaching sports.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
I just really enjoy my job and I love working for this great company. It is so nice looking forward to working everyday and feeling like you make a difference in people’s lives.
